This is gross income from milk sales only — it does not subtract feed, vet, labour or other costs. Use the Break-Even Calculator to see your profit.

How this calculator works

Multiply the number of milking cows by how much milk each one gives per day, then multiply by the price you receive per litre. That gives your daily income. Multiply by 30 for a rough monthly figure, or 365 for a yearly one.

This number is your gross income from milk — the money that comes in before you pay for feed, vet bills, workers and everything else it takes to run the farm. To see your actual profit, try the Break-Even Calculator.

Why this matters

  • Knowing your expected income helps you plan for feed purchases, school fees, and other expenses.
  • If your average yield per cow goes up even by 1-2 litres, the effect on your monthly income adds up fast.
  • Comparing milk buyers' prices, even by KES 1-2 per litre, can change your monthly income significantly.

Track your real income automatically

KilimoDairy's Milk Recording records every session for every cow, totals it automatically, and tracks what each buyer owes you — no calculator needed.
